Following this discussion on
kmazzy's LJ, here is my interpretation of what a combined router-sprouter birthday present might be like:

Date: 2004-09-10 06:46 am (UTC)that's such a cute sp/router. i hope it's a fabulous wireless one with its own firewall that would do broadband.
(speaking of such things, do you know stuff about buying a good router? you seem like you might.)

Date: 2004-09-10 06:50 am (UTC)As for routers, I've not bought one in a long time, so it's difficult to be specific. I've generally found Netgear kit to be quite good, but beyond that, if you find one online and want me to have a look at it's spec before you buy it, I'm happy to do that.

Date: 2004-09-10 06:57 am (UTC)You might catch me online at the weekend, but with parties both days it's not necessarily *that* likely...

Date: 2004-09-10 07:11 am (UTC)a definite marketing opportunity there, and the sprouts would be most impressive due to the extra heat from the router :)
You could even grow more exotic plants there :)

Date: 2004-09-10 08:21 am (UTC)I like the mini-ITX ormat because it is easy to build the small computer in to other devices. Such as a toaster, or a VCR.
The closest I have ever come to combining electronics with plants was when we took an iTRACS analyzer (custom hardware for my company) and to prove how we felt it had over heating issues, we used it to make toast. (I also used to use it to dry my bike gloves.)
Have a great weekend. If you are bored, I will send you a text so you will have my mobile number. Drop me a text, and I will see if I can scrounge up the wife and we can go for coffee or something.
Lastly, welcome back home.
