(It's a must see. You'll cough up a lung, I guarantee it.)

In other news, Chicken Egg Problem came third at the camera club tonight, so it's going ahead for the regional competition in a month or so's time. I had a lot of good feedback about it (including a few people saying it should have got more than a third place), but I was quite happy to have it be noticed -- the competition was pretty strong, and I am a newcomer to the club, after all.

hello joe? hello mike. hello robert? hello mike.

It started to get to me when I realised that they really *were* going to go on, and on, and on, and on... They didn't really talk much about Erlang at all, just the phone switch they used it on. Very weird -- I thought it was a spoof to start with.

It didn't even make me smile. Perhaps I'm an alien.

Agreed... if anything it seemed rather boring.

Looks a bit like "Look Around You" but fails to deliver.

The Chicken Egg Problem was actually a photograph? I thought it was CGI. Impressive.

It is part photo, part CGI -- the broken dribbly bits are photographic, most of the rest is CGI. Everything is heavily photoshopped. I entered it in the 'creative' section which encourages that kind of thing.

Ok - so I cracked up when I saw it but then again, I was brought up watching the Open University on BBC2 as a kid. There's something very tweedy-blazer about the whole thing ...

And hey - congratulations on the photograph!

Thanks! :)

Actually, I did some work for the BBC/Open University people back in the mid-80s. I actually got to go to the BBC canteen quite frequently, seeing the astonishingly eyeburning kipper ties up close and personal. At the time, I thought that OU was showing lots of programs made in the late 60s and early 70s, but no, they were current, it was the lecturers' actual dress sense!

Oh god, it's like Monty Python, but without punchline (or as one long running punchline, either way). Wow.

I expected an 'and now for something completely different' at any moment...

Will try and remember to watch the video when I am at a computer that can handle it. In the meantime, congratulations on the "photo"! :)

... I think I need to know some programming for that to be even remotely funny.

I've friended you. I saw your comments and help in picturing food community. Then I'd checked out your journal. Wow, I was amazingly impressed with your photography.
