I just got invited to give a talk on my current research in Paris at the École Polytechnique. Date to be arranged, but it looks likely to be happening sometime within the next couple of months.

Must treat myself to a language CD. My trouble is that I know a certain amout of French, German and (a rather smaller amoun of) Russian, so whenevr I try to remember a word I get it in the wrong language. ;-)

I only have french and German (both pretty basic) and I do that too. Figure it amuses the locals at least (I find that a good combination of at least making an effort and being amusingly incomptetant at it enamours you to foreigners, even to the French).
