A meme is going around at the moment -- I was dutifully infected by darcydodo, so I shall attempt to pass this on.

The idea is that on LJ, very frequently we find ourselves friended to (or by) people we don't really know terribly well. So, the idea is that people should tell me a little bit about themselves as a comment to this journal entry, then post a similar request in their own journal.

It doesnt really matter what you choose to say about yourself -- it might be profound or prosaic, you decide.

I was brought up together with Yorkshire terriers (three at the high point) and I blame them for some of my habits. Pictured is the present incumbent, Lucy, as a puppy, not being terribly ladylike.

When my mother was pregnant with me, she was so desperate for a girl that she got paranoid about her habit of having four spoonfuls of powdered milk in her tea. You know the old rhyme: 'One for sorrow, two for joy, three for a girl, four for a boy...'

However, my mother couldn't stand tea with only three spoonfuls of powdered milk. So throughout her pregnancy, SHE HAD FIVE.
