Phew!

The lecture went really well. It ran exactly to time, which is something I was a bit concerned about -- when I lectured years ago, I got good at pacing myself exactly, I was worried that I might have `lost it'. I got some really positive feedback from a couple of the students, one of whom said that he hoped that I would be given more lectures to teach, and that he'd found my talk very interesting. I even got a round of applause at the end, which did surprise me a little.

I did have one person soundly asleep, but everyone else seemed to be actually awake and listening to what I had to say. I did have a scary moment at the start while I was trying to figure out how to get the projector to work, but thankfully one of the students pointed out an obscure little touch screen control panel on the wall, which quite rapidly made it possible to get things working. One of the lecturers was supposed to be turning up to introduce me, but he didn't show up, resulting in a bit of from-scratch geeking being necessary.

The lecture itself went absolutely fine. As usual, I had no nerves at all as soon as I started. I doubt anyone noticed that I actually didn't sleep at all last night, although that was for largely unrelated reasons and not directly related to the lecture.nx

Congratulations! I'm glad it went well - not that there was ever any doubt that you'd be a total star!

Splendid! :-D

Good to hear you are being appreciated properly and are continuing to flourish in your natural environment. I trust I will live to see your ideas go into full commercial production and their potential fully developed.
