Well, this can only be a good thing. Odd that they don't know that you're supposed to have a college place too.

I suspect that one of the disadvantages of moving into academia from the real world is that you may have overly optimistic expectations of bureaucracy. In universities, nobody even expects admin stuff to run properly.

The college place is taking its time too. BoGS aren't the only ones with a paperwork backlog, it seems.

The college situation is weird. The admissions secretary says they haven't finished circulating my papers to the tutors, but the rooms tutor has allocated me a room already. And no one has 'officially' told me anything.
