I know why I'm ouchy...

Most people who know me will know this already, but I think some won't yet (i.e. Mark).
I saw the doctor on Monday. It seems I probably have rheumatoid arthritis, which explains why I've spent much of my life with joint/tendon pain. I didn't really suspect anything until Bat and Caroline (an old friend) convinced me that hurting as much as I did when doing fairly standard things (I think it was in reference to my just lying on the floor, as I remember) wasn't really normal.
After much prompting, I caved in on Monday and went to see my GP. The diagnosis isn't definite yet -- I have to go to the local hospital for tests, but it does seem to fit the symptoms.
It's eeky news, I know. But I'm actually OK -- at least I finally know what's been wrong.
