It is a little-known fact that Hitler's SS scientists developed a special breed of Ginormous Parsley, with which they intended to stunt the growth of generations of Allied soldiers by selling the stuff on the open market, in the hope that starving Englanders might eat it instead of real food.

Oops. I think he might have gotten away with it.

Sir Gregory Parsloe-Parsloe, sworn enemy of Lord Emsworth and the Empress of Blandings, has a name that sounds a little like parsley.

I make no judgements, but only suggest you ask yourself -- could this be a coincidence?  Or could it be evidence of an evil global plot to destroy the British character?

I thought you'd misspelled "ROFL" until I looked at the link.

Mmmmm.. Divine! Beautiful! Subtle, refreshing, sophisticated yet stunning! surely it deserves to be a post in its own right, unlike some _others_?

I suppose he's not so well known outside the UK, but there is just something *so*... hard to define about him. For example, the lyrics to his greatest hit:

I'm Jake the Peg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
With my extra leg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
Wherever I go through rain and snow
The people always let me know
There's Jake the peg, diddle-iddle-iddle-um
With his extra leg, diddle-iddle-iddle.

I rest my case.

Goatsewin's Law: as the number of edits to a wiki page increases, the probability of someone putting a goatse at the top approaches 1.

The same probably applies to parsley.

I've never actually seen that on Wikipedia, even after 8 months with a 512-page watchlist.

Apparently, the RAF dropped lots of these on Germany to ruin crops. Maybe it's a solution to the giant parsley?

Nice photo, but... the paradox is that flat-leaved parsley, with dull, ordinary leaves, has better taste!
