It may be that her English did not stretch to "Oops, sorry". Or that "Oops, sorry" was what she was attempting to communicate (like the French use "Sil Vous Plait to mean "Please", "You're welcome" and "There you go" and the Italian (from what little I comprehend) seem to use Prago in the same way).

Yes, I'm sure that was probably the reason. Nevertheless, the irony of the moment positively required its immortalisation in cartoon form! ;-)
