Public service announcement

Over the next few days, I'm intending to give my LJ something of a facelift, with new styles, user icons, etc. Normal service will be resumed...

...eventually.

(I'll still be here, but my journal will probably look a bit weird until I nail everything down nicely)

Edit: I have decided to hack [livejournal.com profile] mageboltrat's superamazing Industrial Nippon style, so please forgive my journal for looking exactly like his for a bit until I complete all the graphics!

My Layout Industrial Nippon is at Layer #533012 if you want to have a play with it :) It should be completely customisable.

Mmm... yes, thanks. It probably would be a better starting point than the basic component style (which seems nice, but I'm finding it tricky to pick apart due to lack of source code).

If this background with all the matracies and electrical symbols is part of it
I like it, I like it

Thanks, I think it might be a bit dark/fussy, but it's a first-cut.

What I want to do is make my journal look like it has been hand drawn, roughly in the style of my cartoons. It shouldn't look too perfect, more like the result of some extended doodling. I'd intend to hand-draw a bunch of alternative user images, and I'll probably do my own mood icon set too.

My blogging seems to be drifting in that direction, and I was getting a bit tired of my old S1-based theme anyway, so...

I have to say I find the dark theme hard to read, I read you using the generic S1 - which is much much easier for me to read I have found.

I like the icon your currently using of your side profile - which i assume is of you. But the idea of cartoony look sounds intresting and I'm looking forward to see what were getting :)

I was thinking about my lack of attention to how my LJ looks, an that it may reflect my lack of attention to how I look - something I will ponder futher in my counselling session me therapist

anyhow looking forward to the results
