When we have to do fire drills, which thankfully is only once a semester, the first question is, "Which blocks have pissed us off the most recently?"

We were always meant to be told about them, but the last firewarden we had never bothered so he'd be there dressed in nice warm clothes and a cup of tea with the rest of us in dressing gowns (with some people just out of the shower...)

I remember some fire alarms early in the morning when I was at college, but at the time I thought it was a car alarm (it sounded just like one, and wasn't that loud in my room) and went back to sleep. Thankfully the porters didn't check round to insist that people were out of their rooms.
