Christmas Plans...

It is looking likely that [livejournal.com profile] doseybat and I are going to be in Cambridge over Christmas, prior to going on our travels to visit various people immediately thereafter. Due to my dog/cat problem, all of the 'usual' family options for both of us are not doable, so alternative socialising needs to be arranged.

Should anyone within striking distance of Cambridge feel like getting together during that time, stick your hand up and wave. :-)

How soon after? We'll probably be back in Hitchin (& hence easy reach of Cambridge) on 27 or 28 December.

I think we'll probably be heading out on the 26th or 27th, but there's always the possibility of a few days before Christmas or alternatively after we get back. It would be great to meet up again -- it was a shame that Bat and I had to leave your party so early last time, and it would be nice to have a longer chat. :-)

It looks like I'm going to be at the pub in Peterborough over most of Christmas - at least up to Christmas Eve and lunchtime on Christmas Day (so that I can open and have drinks with the regulars); I'll be heading off to see family later on Christmas Day and on Boxing Day (when the pub will be closed).

If you feel like coming to visit Christmas Eve, Day, or before you're very welcome. Or after Boxing Day - I should be here the day after because the pub will have to be open.

This sounds like a great idea -- I'll talk it over with Bat later and let you know. Best guess will be a trip up a day or two before Christmas, but I'll get back with a bore concrete idea real-soon-now. :-)

Yes, those dates sound great.

I must reiterate that I am REALLY allergic to cats and dogs, cats especially, to the extent that just shutting the cat/dog in another room is nowhere near good enough -- I get a couple of weeks of pretty severe pain even after a brief exposure.

The pub used to have a dog, however since recent events the dog has gone away with Steph. If I clean well between now and then there shouldn't be too many traces of dog left.

Yes, that's probably fine. I'm somewhat allergic to dogs, but it's cat's where there is a *serious* problem.

I usually come home for Christmas via Cambridge. This year it will be 20, 21 or 22 December probly.

Would be good to see you (both) if you're around then..
