Rah. Those are excellent.

Oh, and thanks *so much* for the compliment! I've not really done any graphic art or photography in decades, but I want to try to get back into it again.

And yay, the povray pictures are good. I spent a little while playing with povray a year or so ago, but it went the way of most of my projects....

Povray now has a nice modeller front-end that ships as part of KDE under Linux. I didn't have povray installed initially, but decided to give it a go when I saw the new front-end. It makes Povray more like 3d Studio or Lightwave from the user's point of view, which is a huge improvement on its arcane script language! I've used Lightwave for years, so I thought I'd give the public domain alternative a run for its money. Verdict: does interesting things, rendering is very slow, results are good, no obvious animation support, has some interesting object types (like 3D Julia sets!) that aren't around in the commercial alternatives. Lots of fun. I can feel the art addiction starting to happen again -- its been a long time! One of my main reasons for liking 3D is that my very first art was Super 8 stop motion animation, back when I was a little kiddly, so I can indulge myself again. :)
