More photos from recent trips
May. 1st, 2007 10:00 pmWell, in the interest of picking myself up and getting on with it, here are a few more, with a bit of a botanical flavour this time, largely due to doseybat's influence. The photographic style of all four have identifiable influences -- I think the third one (the cornus nutallii) reminds me a lot of Imogen Cunningham's flower portraits. The last one reminds me a bit of Edward Weston with the dead wood thing going on. I'm not so sure about the first two, but weird fruit are fun, I think, anyway.
Untitled Fruit, Maui, 2007
Bronica ETRS, 100mm macro, Megavision E4 back. (Note to doseybat -- what species is this? I don't remember!)
Ants on Fruit, Maui, 2007
Bronica ETRS, 100mm macro, Megavision E4 back. This is actually a roughly 50% crop of the previous image -- you can see the ants on a print of the original, but I thought people might like to see them if they are viewing the image only on the web.
Cornus nutallii (Pacific Dogwood), Yosemite, 2007
Bronica ETRS, 150mm MC, Megavision E4 back.
Dead tree, Point Lobos, 2007
Bronica ETRS, 30mm fisheye, Megavision E4 back
