And then there was two...

I just heard by email tonight. And EPSRC is paying, which is moderately cool. I may have to pay petrol for getting there and back, but no biggie, since its just at the University of Hertfordshire (Hatfield, near J3 on the A1(M)). I've heard it's a lot of fun from people who went last year. I have a busy couple of months coming up, it seems!

Anyway, here's the blurb. It's not an amazingly prestigious publication as publications go, but it's better than a poke in the stick with a sharp eye. And I got a free place, which means I might as well do it anyway. :)

Yesterday was a marvellous readthrough at [livejournal.com profile] fluffymark's place, my first ever. I got to be a pirate. After four lines I was bloodcurdlingly dead at the hands (claws? beak?) of an extra-large chicken. Or something. It's a shame -- I kind of wanted the Pirates to win. [livejournal.com profile] the_alchemist had such a scary hook that I was amazed that the mimblywimbly lost boys prevailed. So much for sticking to the script.

At this point I should probably mention everyone else's LJ names, then post a few drunken, out-of focus pictures, but it's late, I can't be bothered, so just use your imagination instead:

* insert cliche here *

You were all simply marvellous, dworlinks! * mwah mwah *

PS: It was fun feeding you all. No untoward after effects, I hope?
