You may have gotten my wife interested in reading him.

Me: "Babe, who is Peter F Hamilton?"
L: "I don't know. Maybe hard sci-fi?"
[click click click]
L: "I think I might like this stuff!"

hehe, I am sure I saw you, I was there, wandering in and out of the store, killing time and browsing (and eavesdropping on his talk & stuff)

I don't think he's the greatest SF author ever, but I've had a lot of fun reading his stuff, which counts for quite a lot. He seems really nice in person too, he obviously puts his all into his writing, yet he doesn't seem to have a huge ego about it.

Yes, I did see you, but you seemed nervous so I didn't say hi. That was remiss of me. Sorry!

Er, hi?

It faded to orange from its most recent red. This week it is about to go blue-green (Special Effects Fish Bowl). :-)

You might like to know that he emailed the finished manuscript for the sequel to The Dreaming Void last week. :-)

Yaay. Blue-green next. :-)

Yeah, but he's got a WHOLE OTHER BOOK to write after that. I thought his Judas duology worked nicely on that front. I was fortunate enough to discover the Sphincter Series (aka The Reality Dysfunction) once he'd finished it, otherwise I would have gone mad from the unnecessary cliffhangers. Ahem.

Right, off to the curry shop.

Hi :-P, and nah, wasn't nervous, just kinda unsure what to do next, I was in the slow process of contacting someone I later went on to have a wonderful evening with!
