Hi all,

I'm having some RSI/arthritis problems in my right hand at the moment, so I'm going to have to cut out nonessential PC usage for a while. This probably means not reading LJ/Facebook/whatever, and avoiding any other nonessential stuff. I'll still be reading email, but don't expect long replies. It could be that I've strained some tendons whilst moving stuff around preparatory to my move, but it feels more like an RSI thing. I am having a bit more trouble walking than usual also, so I could possibly be having an arthritis flare too. Nice timing considering that I'm moving house in two weeks. Gaah.

I've not been using my Touchstream keyboards in a while, so they have just become an essential. I may have to go the speech recognition route if it doesn't improve soon, which I hate, but it's better than nothing.

So, until further notice, assume that I probably won't be reading LJ, though I will still be checking email.

Sorry folks.

Hope it all gets better!

I spent a while trying to track down a touchstream keyboard a while ago, but they go for a fortune on ebay...

That sounds most unpleasant - I hope that you recover quickly.
This is probably not of much use, but I have found The Happy Hacking Pro keyboards to be excellent - very light keypresses and ideal layout for unix users. The price of 180 pounds is not so good, though (I persuaded work to buy me one).

If you can manage it, a "yes" "no" or "maybe" would be much appreciated in response to my e-mail about Shinteki. Or if it didn't go through for some reason, a "huh?" :)

Huh?

(checks email)

Ah, found it, my stupid email client had shunted it into junk. Thanks for the prod.

It looks brilliant, the only problem is that Sarah Addams is visiting at the time, so I'd not really want to abandon her for the day. I am definitely interested in doing the puzzle hunt thing, however, so definitely bear me in mind for the next one if there is a free space.

I've improved quite a bit already, despite doing a lot of ebay listing today, most likely thanks to using my Touchstream. It's the one thing I hate Apple for, to be honest -- buying the company and causing the only really good solution for RSI to disappear from the market. And all so that the iPhone can have a really good touch screen. (Yep, same technology)

This is also the reason I am rarely heard from...my current program of steroid injections and prescription surgical supports is helping.
