... is exactly what I'm doing today. Just about to head to Heathrow, then to SFO, picking up hire car, driving to Mountain View. Staying there. Gulp!

Yes, Radio Shack do them for about $7 each. I think I'll buy about 10 of them (I'll need them), and probably a few multiway adapters and such like. Thanks -- this will really make life far simpler.
