Thanks... any source for adapters from UK mains plugs to US mains plugs (i.e. so I can put a UK mains plug into a US socket) locally would be incredibly useful right now. I stupidly didn't bring any. :(

Well, for adapters I guess I'd check Radio Shack or Fry's Electronics. Radio Shack especially tends to have little random electrical doodads like that.

Excellent -- there seems to be a Radio Shack at San Antonio mall, so I think I should be able to get everything I need there. It will definitely be my first port of call. Thanks!

Yes, Radio Shack do them for about $7 each. I think I'll buy about 10 of them (I'll need them), and probably a few multiway adapters and such like. Thanks -- this will really make life far simpler.
