From a Window: the second batch

82101

This is the second set of images from the arctic aerial photography series. All of the images in this set were shot from the search and rescue window of an Air National Guard C-130 Hercules, during a series of flights from Resolute Bay to Moffett Field via Yellowknife and Vancouver. They were all shot hand-held with a Nikon D200, then postprocessed in Photoshop.

Absolutely wonderful shots again, keep them coming. Have National Geographic knocked on your door yet?

Actually, I have promised to send National Geographic some images... it's a daunting prospect, because their general preferences aren't really for my style, so making photos in their style, for me, is quite hard.

Colour isn't something I do much! I'll send them the B&W stuff anyway, however.

I could imagine that many of these shots are quite monochromatic, anyway so colour wouldn't make much difference.
