From a Window: the second batch

82101

This is the second set of images from the arctic aerial photography series. All of the images in this set were shot from the search and rescue window of an Air National Guard C-130 Hercules, during a series of flights from Resolute Bay to Moffett Field via Yellowknife and Vancouver. They were all shot hand-held with a Nikon D200, then postprocessed in Photoshop.

Frozen River and Ice encroaching capture perfectly my memories of flying over the coast of Canada on my one and only trip to the USA. It's fantastic to get to see them in a photograph.

These are all exceptionally lovely; Snake stands outs, as does Networked. It's a stunningly beautiful environment, and you've captured it very well.

Thanks. I have also flown over that part of the world quite a few times and been awed by it, so the chance to actually go there was something I didn't want to miss. Ending up getting to do so much aerial photography was unexpected. I have a lot more 'straight' on-the-ground photos too, but I've still not had chance to process many of them.
