[personal profile] tenacious_snail made me post this...

My computer geek score is greater than 100% of all people in the world! How do you compare? Click here to find out!

0% scored higher (more computer geeky),
0% scored the same, and
100% scored lower (less geeky).

What does this mean? Your computer geekiness is:

Step aside Bill Gates, Linus Torvalds, and Steve Jobs... You are by far the SUPREME COMPUTER GOD!!!

Well that's a load of rubbish, because I scored the same, and (a) we can't both be the only person to score 100% and* (b) I'm sure you're much more geeky than me.

* At this point a window popped up (it's cronned to run every ten minutes) testing me what the Hebrew was for "underground railway"; I just thought I'd mention this.

I was most amused, though, when it asked me how many computers I had, and I had to look around the room to count them. (One BBC Master dating from around 1985, one rather broken laptop dating from around 1998 (which I keep because it's the only machine I have with Windows (98) on it, which I need to access my CD-ROM encylopaedias), and my current desktop and laptop.)

Bah, someone just left an anonymous comment. That was me, not noticing I'd got logged out..

Overall, you scored as follows:

74% scored higher (more computer geeky),
1% scored the same, and
25% scored lower (less geeky).

Compared to those in the same age group as you:

90% scored higher (more computer geeky),
0% scored the same, and
10% scored lower (less geeky).

What does this mean? Your computer geekiness is:

You are a wannabe computer user, but, alas, that is not possible with you.

For your hard work, here is the promised image:

I am not a computer geek but spend lots of time on it especially when I am bored.

Did you, like me, answer "slacker" for your preferred job, if money was no object? ;)

I think that their scoring must be suspect... besides, in my own case, I should have been marked down (can't do assembly w/o references (what processor, anyway?) and have only looked at a couple vols. of Knuth... OTOH, I was disappointed at the lack of Lisp. ;)

Yes... I got 100% too. Being able to read ASCII codes probably helped.

Even so, I are not a proper geek. I program in VB!

Seriously, that test needs some assembler and a bit more geek culture.

YAY... I've got 70%.... I've left the geeky world behind... I'm not a geek at all.
