Taskfreak

I don't know if any of you lot are to-do-list obsessives, but if you are, you might like to check out TaskFreak!, (yes, the title has an exclamation mark in it), a simple, web-based to-do list application inspired by the GTD (Getting Things Done) methodology. If you've ever used the to-do-list application on a Palm, you'll be instantly at home with TaskFreak. I installed it on my web server earlier today (relatively easy, just unpack some files, create a database and a database user on MySQL, hack the database login information into a config.php file and you're done), and I've already managed to braindump most of my active tasks. I've lapsed a bit recently on keeping to-do lists, so the tendency to freeze up due to having far too many things to do was biting me somewhat, so I decided to do something about it.

All I want now is the ability to show tasks that have due dates in a calendar... ideally Google Calendar... hmmm...

That sounds *way* too organised for me :)

I always have to do lists on bits of paper, plus iCal is great on my mac - sends me e-mails to remind me to do things and everything :) Also mychores is good for chores, although I'm always way behind ;)

That looks pretty useful, would be even more useful if it came with a free upgrade to the number of hours in a day. Sometimes I really miss insomnia - I was so much more productive back then.

It looks like such usefulness - but I don't have (or even know what it is) SQL, so probably not good for me.

That's awesome :)

Because I was about to implement something similar but probably a whole load less good. My boss told me to start making to-do lists last week.

And I managed to get it working too!
